BASICS
The airport is located 10 miles (16 km) south of the center of Manchester.
While floor plans are not currently available on the perky airport Web site, other useful information is, such as:
TAXI
Taxis are available directly outside arrivals. Fare is metered and will be about Ј12 ($20) to the city center. Travel time is about 25 minutes.
TRAIN
Trains run every 15 minutes directly to Manchester Piccadilly Station. The fare is Ј2.15 ($3) and the trip takes about 20 minutes.
BUS
GM buses depart every 1/2 hour for the Piccadilly Railway Station. The fare is Ј1.70 ($2.50) and travel time is about 55 minutes to the center. For bus information, try the GMPTE (Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive).
RENTAL CAR
Major worldwide rental car companies are represented at Manchester Airport.
